The Arc of Dreams - Sioux Falls
A Graduation Weekend to Never Forget:
The day before our engagement, our families traveled together to celebrate Natalie on her graduation from nursing school at South Dakota State University. The next day, our families spent time together doing all of her favorite things like going to the farmer's market, shopping downtown on Phillips Avenue, and going to coffee shops. After lunch, we had set plans to do a "family photoshoot" for her graduation at the Arc of Dreams. Little did she know, this photoshoot was not only to celebrate her accomplishment, but it would also be her proposal shoot.
Towards the end of the photo session, it was time for Natalie and I to take our couple's photos. Our photographer, Emily Randall of Emily Grace Images, worked with me to position Natalie just right for our special moment. When Natalie was facing away from me, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. Seeing the surprise and excitement in her face, I knew her answer before she said it. She said yes!!
The Arc of Dreams downtown by the river was the perfect choice for the proposal because when I asked her originally to be my girlfriend back in May 2017, I asked by the river that ran through the University of Iowa. Not only am I proud of myself for not spoiling the surprise, but I am even prouder to call Natalie my fiancé. I am truly blessed to be marrying the woman I love most in the world.
