Sales Professional – Sioux Falls

The Sales Professional position is responsible for assisting with the shopping experience, under the guidance by the Store Manager, by providing exemplary sales assistance, support and service to Gunderson’s customers. The Sales Professional is responsible for engaging customers to understand their needs, presenting merchandise and detailed information on features and benefits, working with the entire sales team to provide a superior experience to all of Gunderson’s valued customers, as well as meeting individual and team sales and profitability goals.

Social Media Specialist

Position Summary:

Under direct guidance from the President, the Social Media Specialist is an entry level position that will support innovative marketing programs that increase brand engagement on Gunderson’s website and key social sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, blogs, various other social media mediums, and ultimately drive online and instore sales.

Essential Functions:
  • Under guidance from Gunderson’s President:
    • Identify opportunities that will promote growth on social media sites
    • Establish new and maintain existing social media relationships by proactively engaging in discussions surrounding Gunderson’s content, products, and brand
    • Leverage social media monitoring tools such as SEO and/or Google Analytics to identify real-time trends and opportunities for social media engagement
    • Contribute to and regularly update external social sites: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other community sites
    • Monitor consumer conversations on social media channels and moderate user-generated content
    • Recommend and apply relevant social media techniques, processes and tools to improve overall results and efficiency
    • Develop and maintain a content or promotional ideas calendar for external sites
    • Recommend new social media tools, sites, and apps as part of the social media mix
    • Use creative means to drive strong engagement and organic growth of all social media properties
    • Work closely with Gunderson’s Website/Marketing team to ensure Gunderson’s is fully leveraging the website for maximum impacts/results
    • Execute social marketing campaigns
    • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or information technology desired
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/email desired

Working Conditions:

This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Flexible hours and overtime may be required during holidays, inventory, special events, or to meet specific deadlines
