PROPOSAL LOCATION:
Saguaro Lake, Fort McDowell, Arizona

PROPOSAL STORY:
We matched on a dating app in April of 2021, met for the first time in May, and have been inseparable ever since! Our first date consisted of shooting clay pigeons and getting dinner at a small town bar. Our second date (originally planned to be our first but we couldn't wait to meet one another) was playing a round of golf.

We eventually went on our first vacation with one another to South Dakota to camp and hike around the area. Hiking is one of those activities that rejuvenate the both of us. So it was no surprise when we planned a trip to go visit Becca's friend down in Arizona that we planned to hike almost every day we were there. While in Arizona we planned a nice but not too difficult sunset hike at Saguaro Lake. It was a down and back trail so once we got to what seemed to be the end of the trail and noticed the sun was going down, we headed back to a lookout point to watch the sunset.

At that point Wesley dropped to a knee and asked to spend the rest of this life together. There were no tears, there was not jumping for joy up and down. There was just a feeling of 100% confidence that our lives we met for a reason and that our lives are supposed to be together. The entire hike back we were smiling ear to ear and couldn't wait to share the news!

Although the proposal was not a surprise, she was fairly certain it was going to happen on that trip, the location was beautiful and it could not have been any more perfect!
