With the Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Edition “Mojave Desert”, IWC presents the Big Pilot's Watch in a sand-coloured ceramic case for the first time. The striking colour is inspired by Navy pilots' flight suits and the desert landscape around the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. The engineering ceramics used here are created in a sophisticated manufacturing process from powdered raw materials that are shaped and then sintered at high temperatures. To create the unique colour tone, zirconium oxide is blended with other metallic oxides in a precisely defined mixing ratio. The dark brown subdued dial and the sand-coloured rubber strap with textile inlay harmonise perfectly with the case. Delivering precision and endurance is the IWC-manufactured 52110 calibre. The automatic Pellaton winding system has been reinforced with ceramic components and builds up a power reserve of seven days in two barrels – more than enough even on extended missions.
