Like the 36 and 45.5 mm Seastar models, this watch owes its name to its water resistance to a pressure of 30 bar (300 m), equivalent to 1,000 feet. The Seastar features a unidirectional rotating bezel for reliable timekeeping underwater, and thanks to the use of Super-LumiNova® luminous coating on the hands and hour markers, readability is assured even in low light conditions.

This Tissot Seastar 1000 40mm model features a bicolor bezel, black with yellow gold PVD coating all around the edge. The bicolor bracelet made of 316L stainless steel also has a yellow gold-colored PVD coating and is equipped with a quick-release system.
