PROPOSAL LOCATION:
Bluemont Lakes, Fargo
PROPOSAL STORY:
On our first date, I drove Emma around Fargo and showed her some of the more beautiful and hidden parts of town. Using my nerdy imagination, I made up urban legends for some of these places to give them a more mysterious feel to them. The one place the stuck the most in our memories was Bluemont Lakes, the "mystic lake" hidden in an unassuming residential area. So one Friday evening, Emma thought we were just going for a walk to de-stress from a long day of work. The sun had already set and it was getting dark, but walkway leading around the water was well-lit. I wanted it to be simple and traditional; around the last bend on the lake path, I got down on my knee and asked the question. By that point, she knew it was coming and the tears were already streaming down her face. She nodded and said yes through the tears and we embraced each other there in front of the hidden lake, ready for our next adventure.
