PROPOSAL STORY:
Joe is a plant scientist and was supposed to go check a trial Saturday morning before we went to tailgate with his friends for the Bison game. We were lazy/moving slowly, so we went to tailgate first. After we left the tailgating, we still had to head to Hillsboro for his data. Because we met right as Covid was shutting the world down, it was not uncommon for me to tag along when he went to the farm for this sort of thing--and I truly enjoy going with him. I can always find something interesting.
    
We got out of the truck and he was explaining what he was looking for when he pointed at something in the corn. I turned around to see if I could see what he was looking at, and when I turned back around, he was down in the dirt on one knee, ring in hand. At this point both of our memories get fuzzy, but we both assumed I said yes....and the tears began flowing.
        
At that point, he finished his data collection (without my endless questions) while I began calling friends and family.
