PROPOSAL STORY:
Kyle and I met at co-workers when we both new to the area and starting new jobs in Rapid City, SD. We became friends quickly and after a few months of hinting at being interested, we went out on our first date in March 2021, although I don't think either one of us fully knew it was a date going into it! Fast forward one year later and we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I am originally from the Sioux City area and my knew my parents got their engagement and anniversary rings through Gunderson's, as well as some other family members, so it was definitely a place we wanted to look. We ended up picking out a ring that day.
Kyle proposed in March 2023 during a mini weekend getaway to Spearfish, SD for our two year anniversary. It had recently snowed and we had wanted to drive through the canyon and hike to Spearfish Falls which is one of our favorite places. I had suspected a proposal would be happening soon, but once it didn't happen at the waterfall, I assumed it wasn't going to happen that weekend. Little did I know, Kyle actually did have the ring with him on the hike, but opted not to propose there due to how much ice and deep snow was around us. The following morning as we were drinking coffee and packing up to get ready to check out of our cabin, Kyle managed to completely surprise me and propose that morning.
THE RING:
14k white gold halo diamond engagement ring- Gunderson's style number 120484. Center is one round brilliant cut diamond weighing 0.78 carat.
