PROPOSAL STORY:
We booked a trip to Japan in December of the previous year and that’s when my plan commenced to make sure I got a ring in time to propose to her there. Luckily, I got to work with Erin and she found us the perfect ring and helped me get it made just in time to bring with me. Her birthday is the 21st of May so I was planning to propose the day after so her and her sister could enjoy their day together, her favorite number is 2 so I felt that it would be an extra lucky day. I was very wrong, when we got to the spot I wanted to propose she and her sister went into a bathroom to change into nicer clothes, when she returned we walked for about two minutes and she realized she didn’t have her phone. We checked the bathroom and the entire area we were in and could not find a trace of it, she had on airplane mode to save battery so we couldn’t utilize find my iPhone at all. About 15 minutes later we got a ping, chased it around town in hopes to find the thief and traced it to the police station where it had been turned in! Even though we found the phone, it was well past sunset and I felt that she had been through enough emotions for the day. We hadn’t fully planned out the next day so I talked with her sister and after our first event of the day I chose to have us go to the Kyoto Imperial Palace, where there were botanical gardens that I felt would be the perfect place to pop the question. Plans actually went through this day and we are happily engaged having fun planning our wedding!
