PROPOSAL LOCATION:
Lake Alvin near Harrisburg, SD
PROPOSAL STORY:
Josh planned the perfect 'scavenger hunt' proposal with our family and friends' help! While Kortney was getting her nails done with one of her friends Friday night, she handed Kortney a note that read:
"You're beautiful, it's true
There's no doubt in site
Let's end this day together with your nails painted white"
After the nail appointment, the next note read:
"Ice cream ice cream
Oh what a dream
To the place that we met
Your next clue will be seen"
Our first date was at an ice cream shop in Downtown Sioux Falls. Josh's sister was there with the next clue, which read:
"A place that's known
A shelter of few
A start of our home
Together with you"
This clue took Kortney to Josh's house, where our friends were waiting with the next clue:
"There's a pool nearby
A place of peace
Where I say my hardest goodbyes
I think I see a few pictures of Greece!"
This clue took Kortney to her apartment, and the final clue read:
"Get ready real fast
I'll see you in a few
This will be a memory that'll last
I can't wait to say "I love you"
Once Kortney got ready and changed, her friend drove her to Lake Alvin where Josh was waiting for her in the most beautiful spot overlooking the lake! He had sparkling grape juice, roses, a photographer, he went above and beyond and it was the most thoughtful proposal!
