Max pulled off the sweetest surprise—and somehow managed to tie it all into my parents’ love story too.

This year is my parents’ 30th anniversary, and my mom said they wanted to get some nice pictures taken to celebrate. She asked if we could come along to help, and the spot they picked was extra special—it was the same place where my parents got engaged 30 years ago.

We got out to this beautiful hill that overlooks the river and started taking pictures of my parents. Then my mom asked if Max and I wanted a few photos while we were there, since the view was so pretty.

As we were posing, Max got down on one knee and proposed—right in the exact spot my parents got engaged. It was such a full-circle moment and a total surprise. Definitely one of the best days ever.
