PROPOSAL STORY:
Our proposal story began on one of the most frigid days of the entire year…December 21, 2022. It was the day before Drew’s birthday & his mom had made plans to travel to Sioux Falls to celebrate him. In addition, my mom concocted a creative story, that she & I should get our nails done together & take pictures with Santa Claus at the mall, to add to the family Christmas card. The entire Santa situation seemed a bit off to me but I obliged. Drew & his mom spent that time making preparations for the proposal. He later texted asking if I could meet them at Falls Park with my parents, as he & his mom wanted to get some pictures of the two of us together. We wandered for a bit taking pictures, when he suddenly took to one knee, presented me with the most BEAUTIFUL ring & asked me to marry him! I was so surprised & had no inclination of his plans. The Santa pictures serve as a fun reminder of what was to follow that day, along with the many other priceless moments that our parents captured. We spent the remainder of the holiday season relishing in the excitement of our engagement with family & friends. To date, we are officially 40 days away from our happily ever after!
