PROPOSAL STORY:
Rachel and I have known each other since high school, but didn't start dating until we went to separate colleges of course, immediately pulling us into a long-distance relationship. Then the Covid pandemic hit, which meant we saw each other even less. Nevertheless, our relationship blossomed and our connection only grew stronger. As both of us moved back to the Twin Cities after graduating college, we were able to stop being long distance for the first time in our relationship as we started our careers. As our careers started, I was handed down a family heirloom ring to potentially use. I got in contact with Mr. Bauer and he expertly demonstrated his craft, quickly coming up with designs and ideas that my wife loved and arranged for all the work to be completed well before I had any solid plans of when I would be using it. That opportunity came just under a year later when my wife and I had a trip planned to sight see a few places around France. One of these locations was Nice, which my wife had relatives in. I got in contact with them and they happily scouted out some locations that they thought would be good spots to propose in. We eventually agreed upon a lovely hike in the nearby alps with the relatives tagging along and taking photos. Once the day came, we started up the mountain on a clear and cool day and stopped for lunch next to a gorgeous lake hidden away in the mountains. After wrapping up lunch, I got down on one knee and luckily she said yes! We celebrated the moment and took many pictures, but soon realized nobody had any cell phone reception, so we were unable to tell anyone what had happened. A couple hours later we were able to get some cell service and call our families back home to tell them the wonderful news!
