PROPOSAL STORY:
For years, my best friend and her husband have tried to convince Brandon and I to get together. Brandon worked with Jake for 10+ years and they always thought Brandon and I would be the perfect match. I would see Brandon at parties with mutual friends, but he would be too shy to talk to me. On the day of Jessica and Jake’s wedding, Brandon finally got the courage to talk to me and kissed me on my cheek while I was getting asked out on a date by another man.
Ever since that happened, Brandon and I just connected. We were inseparable and instantly knew we were meant for each other.
Just days before our proposal, my aunt and her 12 year old daughter were in a terrible accident with a semi truck. The semi hit them and flipped their car. By the grace of God, they all survived. My aunt was injured very badly and there was a 5% chance of saving her arm. The surgeon did everything in his power to do so. My aunt and I grew up like sisters considering we are only 6 years apart. It was one of the roughest moments for me in my life, and Brandon was there through it all holding me afloat. When he proposed in Estes, I had so much guilt that I could be so happy after the terrible accident my aunt just faced but then I heard my aunt tell me to enjoy my moment because she knew Brandon was the love of my life. I then changed my mind set and was so grateful that they all survived to be at our wedding. This story is to tell you that love isn’t always butterflies and happiness, but also love is when someone picks you up when you are at your lowest. Love is when someone chooses you everyday, through good or bad or happy or sad. Brandon isn’t just my fiancé but my rock. I’m so blessed I get to marry the man he is.
Thank you Gunderson’s for helping him find the most beautiful ring!
