Kolby and I were heading to dinner for what I thought was an early birthday celebration for Kolby. When we returned to his family's lakeside home, I was speechless seeing that the front path was lined with rose petals, leading down to the dock. We made our way down to the dock, where Kolby asked me to marry him! It was not long before both of our families and closest friends appeared, cheering and celebrating with us. It was the perfect mix of surprise, love, and joy - a moment that felt like it had been made just for us.
